Arc Raiders Quest Guide: Switching the Supply
"Switching the Supply" is a quest in Arc Raiders that sounds straightforward but can be confusing if you're not familiar with the map. It's part of Celeste's storyline and comes after earlier tasks dealing with water contamination, like "Water Troubles." Once it's done, you'll get several rewards including the Blue Radio Renegade outfit, a Spaceport Trench Tower key, and some synthesized fuels ARC Raiders Coins. Since you don't have to extract with any items for the quest to count, it's perfectly safe to run a cheap or free loadout.
The mission takes place on the Spaceport map, which is usually a busy area with ARC enemies, other Raiders, and plenty of high-value loot spots. It's easy to get distracted by everything happening around you, but the quest objective is actually right in the center of the map near the Launch Towers. The tunnels you're looking for are directly underneath this area. There are a few different ways down, but the easiest entrances are usually south or southwest of the towers. Look for broken ramps, open doors on low buildings, or square holes in the ground that lead underground. Once you drop into the tunnels, your quest objective should update and tell you to locate and turn the valve.
The good news is that the valve isn't buried deep inside the maze of tunnels. If you enter from the southern Launch Tower door, you're already close. Take a left almost immediately or head slightly northwest, keeping along the right-hand wall. After a short distance you should notice a bright yellow pipe on the wall with a red-handled valve attached. It's sometimes positioned near green filtration tanks or tucked under a concrete overhang, which helps it stand out from the rest of the environment.
Enemies often patrol the tunnels, including exploding ticks and the occasional Raider squad, so it's a good idea to clear the area before interacting with the valve. When you activate it, you'll have to hold the interact button for a few seconds, leaving you exposed. If things feel risky, throwing a smoke grenade can give you a moment of cover while you finish the interaction.
As soon as the valve turns, the quest completes instantly. You don't need to pick up anything or carry an item to extraction. Even if you die afterward, the progress still counts, which makes this one of the easier story objectives in the game. After finishing it, you can either leave immediately or stick around to search the tunnels for loot, since there are often a few material stashes down there.
Going in prepared helps, but you don't need expensive gear. A basic close-range weapon like a shotgun works well in the tight tunnels, and smoke grenades are useful if other players show up. The Spaceport is a high-traffic zone because of its central location, so expect some PvPvE chaos around the Launch Towers. If you want a quieter run, try approaching from the edge of the map rather than dropping straight into the busiest area.
One mistake players make is following the tunnels too far and getting lost. The layout loops around quite a bit, and it's easy to start chasing the wrong pipes. Staying close to the wall from the Launch Tower entrance usually leads you to the valve quickly. If you see the cluster of green tanks nearby, you're in the right area.
Completing "Switching the Supply" pushes Celeste's storyline forward and unlocks more quests and upgrades back at your base. The rewards are also useful—especially the Trench Tower key, which opens up additional loot opportunities during future Spaceport runs. It's a short mission overall, but learning where the tunnels and valve are located will make future trips to the map much easier cheap ARC Raiders Coins.
Once the valve is turned, you can head for a nearby extraction point or continue exploring if things seem quiet. Either way, finishing this quest helps you get more comfortable navigating the Spaceport, which is one of the most important locations in Arc Raiders.
