Controls and Responsiveness

Hit Reactions – Characters now visibly react when struck, increasing tension and making combat feel more dynamic. Players must actively dodge, time attacks, or counterstrike, rather than relying solely on trading damage.
Guard Crush System – Blocking now consumes stamina, and reaching zero results in a guard crush, leaving characters vulnerable. Blocking from the side or rear will break regardless of stamina, while attack intensity dictates the severity of knockback and recovery time. This encourages tactical positioning and stamina management.
General Adjustments – Knockback durations have been shortened, and total crowd control immunity for some monsters has been replaced with conditional systems, allowing for strategic interruption of enemy patterns.
While some players may recall similar stagger issues from New World, Chrono Odyssey appears to have implemented more nuanced solutions, including stagger-resistant skills, potentially avoiding the early PvP frustrations seen in other games.
Consumables and Potions
The consumable system has also received an overhaul:
HP Potions – Potions are now permanently rechargeable and mapped to a dedicated key, automatically refilling after death or instance completion.
Food Buffs – Food now provides long-term stat and movement enhancements rather than immediate healing.
Special Potions – Short-duration, high-impact effects can now be strategically deployed during critical moments in battle.
