u4gm Where to Snag Geiger Counters in ARC Raiders Guide

ARC Raiders has a habit of shifting the ground under your feet, and you feel it most when you're out there trying to track down gear that suddenly matters more than it did a week ago. One patch drops, a new map shows up, and before you know it you're hunting for items you never even thought about before. That's exactly what happens with the Geiger Counter, and a lot of players end up stuck because the game offers zero guidance on where to look. If you're digging into your stash hoping to find one you missed, or thinking you'll just buy it somewhere like you would an ARC Raiders BluePrint, you're going to hit a wall fast.

Where You Shouldn't Waste Time

The biggest mistake most players make is assuming vendors will eventually stock the thing. Celeste rotates her inventory often enough to trick you into believing it might show up, but it won't. You also can't craft one from nothing at your station, no matter how upgraded your setup is. The Geiger Counter is strictly a loot‑only drop, and the game sticks to that rule. Once you accept that, the search becomes much easier because it cuts out a lot of pointless back‑and‑forth around the hub.

Where the Real Hunt Starts

If you're serious about finding one, you need to move into the Exodus loot zones. These areas arrived with the Stella Montis update, and right now they're the only reliable places to dig. You have two main maps that matter: Spaceport and Stella Montis. On Spaceport, the Rocket Assembly sector is where most players eventually get lucky. It's crowded, messy, and usually loud, but the loot pool there actually includes the item. Stella Montis works too, though you'll want to head to the lower Assembly area. It's a bit more vertical, but once you're down there, the drop rate feels slightly better, at least from what plenty of players keep reporting.

Why the Drop Matters More Than You Think

Even if the Geiger Counter refuses to drop, there's a silver lining. These zones also tend to spit out Exodus Modules, and honestly, that's what most people are really after. The counter itself is valuable, sure, but most players recycle it instantly because the modules you get from breaking it down are the real prize. You need them for the Gunsmith, especially if you're aiming to build the Hullcracker. That weapon turns a lot of fights in your favour, but you can't touch it without modules, so every run into the Assembly areas puts you a step closer.

Why the Grind Is Worth It

It can feel like a slog jumping into the same zones over and over, but if you're chasing progression, this is the loop that matters. Whether you walk out with a fresh module or a counter ready to scrap, you're still moving toward that next upgrade. It's the kind of grind that grows on you because each run feels like it might finally pay off, and often it does. If you're aiming to tidy up your build or prep for future patches, farming these areas helps more than people realise, especially if you're keeping an eye out for a BluePrint for sale that slots neatly into your loadout.
