Future platforms will excel at correlating cloud costs directly with key business metrics, allowing organizations to answer critical questions like, "What is our cloud cost per transaction?" or "What is the cost to serve a single customer?" This focus on business value and efficiency, combined with an emerging trend to also track the carbon footprint of cloud usage (known as GreenOps), will elevate FinOps from a technical cost-management discipline to a strategic pillar of modern business operations.
